Schoole Awards for Best Web Site

Lawrence, Kan. - Think your school district has the best website out there? Prove it! The SchoolE Awards have been launched to showcase districts that have the most attractive sites and best web strategy.

The SchoolE Awards recognize the very best in web strategy, design and effectiveness within the K-12 sector. The district website has now emerged as the single most important vehicle for overall communication and branding. Nominate your district's website if you do believe that it is worthy of being considered among the best.

The contest is comprised of three phases, beginning now going through late March 2010.

Phase 1 - Nomination phase - Anyone can nominate a district for the best district Web site. Districts may be public, private or charter. Only one nomination per valid e-mail address will be allowed.

Phase 2 - Selection phase – A panel of industry experts will select the top 15 school district Web sites. Using a rubric, the district sites will be ranked, with the top 15 continuing to the next phase.

Phase 3 - Voting phase - Only one vote per valid e-mail address will be accepted. The school district site with the most votes will be determined the winner.

The top two winning districts will receive donations for the department responsible for managing their district site. The winning districts will be featured in a press release to major media outlets that include national and regional newspapers and news sources, targeted both to your geographical area and nationally. Winners will also be featured heavily within Social media and networking sites, including Twitter (@allofek12), Blogger (, Facebook, focused on the K-12 sector.
