Four universities recently released new online catalogs using CatalogM for the 12-13 academic year

9-15-2012

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Adams State University, Carroll University, Pittsburg State University and Concordia University - Irvine Launch 12-13 CatalogM implementations.  Three of the schools, Adams State University, Carroll University and Concordia University-Irvine launched catalogs for the first time. This is Pittsburg State University’s second year using CatalogM.

The universities will use their online catalog to help students better utilize the schools’ websites, as it allows the schools to manage their course catalog content in a much more web-friendly manner, instead of posting large PDF documents that make it difficult for students to search for specific degrees or courses.

Each of the online catalogs was designed to match the universities’ websites, as you will see in the links below:
• Adams State University: http://catalog.adams.edu/
• Carroll University: http://catalog.carrollu.edu/
• Concordia University-Irvine: http://catalog.cui.edu/
• Pittsburg State University: http://catalog.pittstate.edu/

CatalogM also allows the schools to export on demand all of their catalog content into a full-formatted Word document. That way, the university does not lose the ability to have a printed catalog if necessary.

The schools are able to utilize a workflow and approval process that requires that any content changes be approved before being made live on the catalog websites. CatalogM will also help in the future, in that the schools are able to simply take a copy of the current year’s catalog and start updating it for next year, giving them a head-start on any necessary changes.
